Serving the Homebound With the Love of Jesus

Jesus replied:
“’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”

Matthew 22: 37-39

Bringing Jesus' Love to the Homebound

Do you know of someone who is confined to their home because of illness or aging? Someone who has no family nearby? Someone who has few or no friends? Someone who may have lived a vibrant life, had a rewarding career, even raised a family, but is now isolated and alone?

Does this person feel hopeless because of their physical condition? Do they feel useless because they are unable to fulfill basic human need of making a positive difference in the lives of others?

Why It Matters:

Addressing More Than Just Physical Needs

Caregivers may attend to their physical needs. Government programs may address their financial needs. Various other organizations may meet their sheltering and nutritional needs.

But who is helping them with their emotional and spiritual needs? Who is supplying that human touch that reaches their soul?

This precious individual matters to God, and they matter to us.
We invite you to reach out to us so we can bring the love of Jesus to them.

Answering the Unspoken Need

There is a need that has been brought to our attention - the need to serve the homebound with the love of Jesus.

At Poiema Christian Outreach, we recognize the power of communication in our daily lives. It’s easy and natural to exchange words, but true connection goes beyond mere communication. We understand that connection speaks to the heart, and it’s this profound connection that can brighten the lives of those who feel isolated.

Be Their Blessing:

Do you share our compassion for these precious individuals?

Do you feel God urging you to join us in reaching out to them?

If you can make a 10-15 minute phone call to connect with someone on a spiritual level to help them feel loved, heard, included, respected, and appreciated then we would love to talk with you.
